Skoda Yeti Diesel Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Skoda Yeti diesel is experiencing higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a faulty injection system, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by fixing a dodgy connector on one of the injectors, and it is advised to have a workshop diagnose and repair the problem to avoid complications with the diesel fuel system. The issue was confirmed and resolved at a workshop by repairing a defective plug connection.

When you say 'similar', do you mean the exact same symptoms? What was the actual problem in your case, and how did you resolve it?

Yeah, pretty much the same. Turned out to be a dodgy connector on one of the injectors. I tried to fix it myself, but honestly, I'd just get it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and sort it out way faster than you messing around with it yourself, especially with diesel engines. You don't want to mess with the fuel system!

Thank you for your advice. I took it to a workshop, and they found a defective plug connection as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Problem solved.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Yeti. Loss of power and rough idling. I was convinced it was a fuel leak somewhere. Have you checked the engine System for any obvious signs of damage to any cable?
