Skoda Yeti Diesel Start Stop Problem

My 2013 Skoda Yeti diesel is acting up. The start-stop system isn't working. The error memory shows a fault, the engine shuts off as intended, but a warning light comes on. I suspect a discharged or defective battery. Has anyone experienced similar engine stalling issues? It is really annoying in Eco mode!

I had a similar start-stop issue with my older Peugeot. Though it wasn't technically a hybrid vehicle, the Eco mode behaved similarly. Was the battery tested under load? Sometimes a voltage check isn't enough to reveal a failing battery.

Under load? No, I only checked the voltage when the engine was off. How did you determine it was the battery specifically in your case?

Yes, they performed a load test at the workshop. The voltage dropped significantly, indicating the battery's inability to hold a charge under stress. Given your error codes and symptoms, a battery issue seems likely. I suggest visiting a workshop.

Took it to the workshop. It was a battery issue, heavily discharged as the error memory suggested. A new battery was installed, and the start-stop is working again. Total cost was 290€. Thanks for the input, it gave me a good starting point.
