Skoda Yeti Engine Issues

I am writing to inquire about a problem I am experiencing with my 2016 Skoda Yeti with a gasoline engine. The vehicle has approximately 34241 km. Recently, the engine has been running rough, and it stalls at idle. Additionally, the check engine light has illuminated, and there is noticeable jerking when accelerating. I suspect it might be related to the ignition system, potentially an issue with the ignition coil cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I have a Skoda Yeti as well, though I don't recall the exact year. I experienced similar symptoms: rough running, stalling, and the check engine light. It could be related to the ignition system. Have you checked the ignition coil?

Thank you for the quick reply! I did check the ignition coil visually for any obvious damage, but I didn't see anything. Did you replace the ignition coil yourself, or did you take it to a professional? Was it difficult to diagnose the problem?

I'm not a mechanic, so I took mine to a workshop. The error code pointed towards a misfire, and they traced it back to a faulty ignition coil. Given your symptoms, especially the check engine light and engine hesitation, I would recommend having it checked by a professional.

I appreciate you confirming that for me. It turns out you were correct. I took my Skoda Yeti to a certified repair shop, and they diagnosed a defective ignition coil. The mechanic also found a loose connection at the plug. The repair, including parts and labor, came to 95€. The car is running smoothly again, and the check engine light is off. Thank you again for your help!
