Skoda Yeti Engine Running Unevenly
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Yeti with a gasoline engine was experiencing uneven running, a check engine light, and jerking during acceleration. The issue was suspected to be related to a leak in the exhaust system. After considering potential causes like spark plugs, ignition coil, and fuel injectors, a workshop confirmed and repaired an exhaust leak, resolving the problem.

Thanks for your input. You mentioned the spark plugs, ignition coil, and fuel injectors. Did replacing any of these solve your problem, or was it something else entirely?

Yes, the symptoms sound very familiar. I started with the spark plugs and ignition coil, but the issue persisted. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they found a small exhaust leak that was causing engine misfire. I would suggest you do the same.

Thank you for the advice. It turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system, as suspected. The workshop identified and repaired it, costing 265€. The engine is now running smoothly again.

I had a similar issue with my Yeti. Rough idle and jerking, the check engine light was also on. Did you check the spark plugs or maybe the ignition coil? Could also be fuel injectors. Do you notice any difference when the engine is cold versus when it is warmed up?
