Skoda Yeti Fault Memory Lock Active
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Skoda Yeti with a gasoline engine displayed a 'Fault memory lock active' error, potentially due to an undervoltage issue or a computer system problem. The error was stored in the vehicle's error memory. It was suggested to check battery connections and consider professional diagnostics to avoid risks with the ECU. Ultimately, a professional confirmed the issue was indeed undervoltage, cleared the fault memory lock, and checked the battery, resolving the problem.

How would I check for undervoltage myself? I have a multimeter, but I'm not really sure what readings I should be looking for on the ECU.

Yeah, undervoltage can cause all sorts of weird issues with the ECU and trigger that active memory lock. Honestly, messing with the ECU without proper Automotive diagnostics tools can be risky. I’d suggest getting it checked out by a professional. They can properly diagnose the Computer system and clear the memory lock.

I took it to a shop, and it turned out to be undervoltage like you thought. They cleared the fault memory lock and checked the battery. Cost me 240€ but at least it's sorted.

Whoa, a memory lock issue? Sounds like your Skoda's computer is having a bad day. Is the car driving any differently? Maybe try checking your battery connections. Are they clean and tight?
