Summary of the thread
A 2016 Skoda Yeti owner experienced issues with the check engine light, increased fuel consumption, and erratic idling. Wiring, you say? What should I be looking for exactly?

Yeah, a loose or corroded connector can cause all sorts of issues. It's worth checking before replacing the sensor itself. But if the wiring looks fine, best get it checked at the workshop to rule out other causes.

Thanks for the heads up. Turns out it was a dodgy connection, just like you said. 95€ later and it's all sorted.

Sounds like a faulty knock sensor. I had similar car problems with my old Renault Megane, same malfunction indicator lamp and poor performance. Have you checked the sensor's wiring?
