Skoda Yeti Lighting System Fault

I am writing to report an issue I have encountered with my 2017 Skoda Yeti, which is equipped with a gasoline engine, and has a mileage of 53137 km. I am experiencing a fault in the lighting system. Specifically, the lights switch on, but an error is stored in the error memory. Based on my preliminary diagnostics, the likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection of the component. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any insights would be greatly appreciated before I proceed with further investigation. I suspect the light switch or dimmer switch might be the culprit, or perhaps a problem within the fuse box affecting the car lighting and tail lights.

Oh man, I had something similar happen with my Yeti! Drove me nuts. Have you checked the fuse box related to the car lighting and tail lights? Maybe it's just a blown fuse causing the issue. Also, did the dimmer switch feel weird at all before this started happening?

Thanks for the input. You mentioned a similar issue with your Yeti. Was it also related to the light switch? And if so, what was the solution in your case?

Yeah, it was exactly the light switch. I tried messing with the fuse box myself, but no luck. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They said something about a faulty connection in the light switch assembly itself. Saved me a headache to just get it professionally sorted, to be honest. Car lighting is not something I want to mess with.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I took it to a professional, and it turns out that the cable connection was indeed defective, like you said. They charged me 95€ to fix it. Now, everything is working properly again.
