Skoda Yeti Oxygen Sensor Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'cable and plug connection', are you referring to the wiring harness connected to the exhaust system where the oxygen sensor is screwed in? Or is there something else I should be looking for? I'm not super experienced with these things, so any detail helps.

Yes, I was referring to the wiring harness that connects to the O2 sensor – the oxygen sensor – itself. In my case, it was corroded, leading to a bad signal. However, since you have an error stored, and higher fuel consumption, it's likely the air-fuel ratio is off, and you should get it checked by a professional to confirm. Might be best to get it properly diagnosed at a workshop.

I wanted to let you know: I took the Yeti to the workshop, and you were right. They checked the oxygen sensor and found a defective connection in the cable to the exhaust sensor. They replaced the cable and plug, and the error is gone. Cost me 95€. Thanks again for your help!

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra, though it's a different make. The check engine light kept coming on, and the fuel consumption was higher than usual. The error memory also had some weird stuff stored. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the oxygen sensor? It might be a simple fix.
