Skoda Yeti strange behavior
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Skoda Yeti with a diesel engine is experiencing issues with unreliable unlocking/locking and requires the key in the ignition to start. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection related to the bumper antenna. A similar issue was resolved by checking the vehicle antenna mount for corrosion, and a workshop confirmed the problem, leading to a repair costing 95€.

Did you also get an error message stored? The car radio itself seems fine, but I can't start the engine without the key in the ignition lock anymore.

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. It’s likely the car radio is affected by the antenna issue. In my case, the whole antenna system was affected. Better check with a workshop.

I had similar issues with the radio signal on my Opel Corsa. The unlocking also failed. I would check the vehicle antenna mount for corrosion.
