Skoda Yeti System Readiness Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Skoda Yeti diesel displayed a 'System readiness check incomplete' error after using an OBD2 diagnostic tool. This issue can occur when the tool resets certain system flags, affecting readiness checks. The suggested solution was to drive the car normally, allowing the system to rerun its checks. After some driving, the error resolved itself, confirming the solution's effectiveness without incurring any costs.

Emissions test is coming up, yeah! You think just driving it will do the trick? How long did you have to drive your Astra before it sorted itself out?

Yep, driving should do it. For me, it took maybe a week of normal driving. Just make sure you're doing a mix of city and highway. If it doesn't clear after a week or so, then maybe consider visiting a workshop. They might have to manually reset something. But honestly, just drive it and see what happens!

Just wanted to say thanks for the help! Turns out it was exactly what you said. The system readiness was not completely set after the car diagnostics. After some driving, the check engine light turned off and the system readiness check is complete. No cost at all!

Whoa, sounds familiar! Had the exact same thing happen with my old Opel Astra after I used an OBD2 scanner. System readiness not complete, check engine light blazing. Was your car going for an emissions test soon? Because that's what triggered my panic! Could be the OBD2 reset some flags. Have you tried driving it for a bit? Sometimes the system needs to run its checks again.
