Thanks for the tip. I haven't checked the transmission oil level myself. I assumed the sensor was faulty. Where is the transmission oil level indicator located on the Yeti?

There is no dipstick for the transmission oil level. To check the level and condition, it needs to be done professionally at a workshop. Given the grinding noises and shifting problems alongside the sensor error, it would be prudent to get it checked at a trusted repair shop.

Took the Yeti to the workshop. They confirmed it was the transmission sensor and also found the oil level was low, as suspected. Got it sorted for 365€. Thanks for the advice.

I had similar transmission issues with my Skoda Yeti. The symptoms you describe match my experience. Check the transmission oil level first. Low fluid can cause the automatic transmission to behave erratically, triggering the warning light and emergency mode. Was the transmission oil level checked during your troubleshooting?
