Skoda Yeti Transmission problem

I'm experiencing transmission issues with my 2015 Skoda Yeti gasoline engine. I'm getting an engine warning light and the gearbox goes into emergency mode. The error memory shows a transmission oil pressure sensor fault and I'm experiencing some gearbox slips and grinding noises. Could this be related to low gearbox oil level?

I had similar transmission issues with my Skoda Yeti. It could be the oil level. Has the transmission oil level been checked? This often causes faulty readings from the pressure switch. If the oil level is insufficient, top it off to the specified level and then check if the transmission sensor error disappears.

Thank you for the advice. Just to clarify, are you referring to the transmission pressure switch, or another transmission sensor? And did you experience similar symptoms with the gearbox slipping into emergency mode?

Yes, the transmission pressure switch was indeed the culprit. The symptoms you described, including the emergency mode, mirrored my experience precisely. While topping off the oil might temporarily alleviate the issue, it is highly advisable to consult a workshop to ascertain the root cause of the oil loss and to replace the faulty pressure switch.

Confirmed, replacing the transmission sensor and topping up the fluid for 365€ resolved the issue. Thanks for the advice.
