Rain sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located? And when you say 'near the steering column,' are we talking about taking the whole thing apart? I'm not exactly a mechanic, more like a 'YouTube mechanic' if you catch my drift! Any more details would be super helpful!

Yeah, I wouldn't start ripping apart the steering column just yet. The rain sensor is usually integrated with the rearview mirror mount. I'm no expert, but my mechanic mentioned something about the wiper motor getting a faulty signal because of that connection issue near the steering column. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. It'll probably be quicker and less frustrating than trying to trace it yourself. Save yourself the headache.

Just wanted to close this. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! Turns out a cable connection to the wiper switch was faulty. They fixed it for 95€, so not too bad. Now my wiper blades are dancing in the rain again, like they should be! Thanks a bunch for your help!

Sounds a bit like what happened with my Yeti. The wipers just quit. Have you checked the rain sensor? I had a similar thing happen, though I didn't see any errors. Turned out to be a loose connection somewhere near the steering column. It's a bit like when a lightbulb goes out because of a bad connection, you know?
