Skyline overheating electric fan issue

I'm experiencing overheating with my 2017 Nissan Skyline, gasoline engine. The electric fan doesn't seem to be working right. It has 49582 km on it. Could a bad cable or plug be the problem?

I have a Skyline too, though it's older. I had similar overheating issues. Have you checked the fan clutch? It regulates the fan's speed. If it's failing, it might not engage the fan properly. Also, did you check the cooling system?

Thanks for the info. I don't know much about engines. Can you explain how to check the fan clutch and what to look for to see if it's defective?

It was a faulty electric motor in my case, so I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to check the whole cooling system. I had the same symptoms, and the error log showed the fan was defective. The repair was around 95€.

Thanks for sharing your experience. A workshop visit seems best. I'll have them check the electric motor and the cooling system. Thanks again!
