Skyline temperature sensor and AC issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Skyline is experiencing issues with a defective temperature sensor on the heat exchanger, leading to error messages and a non-functional air conditioning system. The problem might be due to a faulty sensor providing false readings or a defective air conditioning control unit. A workshop visit is recommended to confirm the diagnosis and proceed with necessary repairs.

Thanks for the reply! The engine cooling seems normal, no overheating or anything. But if it's just a sensor, why would the A/C not work? Seems a bit extreme for a simple temperature gauge problem, no?

You're right, it is odd. I had a similar problem with my Skyline, and it turned out the air conditioning control unit was defective and needed replacing. I'd suggest a workshop visit to be sure.

Appreciate the insight! I'll get it checked out at the workshop. They said the temperature sensor on the heat exchanger was defective and the air conditioning control unit was the likely cause. Repair cost will be around 980€. Thanks again!

I have a Skyline too (though a bit older). Sounds familiar. Is the engine cooling okay otherwise? I'd check the basics before panicking. Could also be a faulty sensor giving false readings.
