Skyline Transmission Issues

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2015 Nissan Skyline Hybrid, currently at 194290 km. The engine warning light comes on and off, sometimes with the transmission light. Diagnostics point to a transmission oil temperature sensor error. The gearbox occasionally goes into emergency mode, with slipping, unclean shifting, and grinding noises. Oil level seems okay. Any ideas before I take it in?

Hey, I've got a Skyline too, although not a hybrid. Sounds similar to an issue I had a while back. Was the grinding constant, or just when it was shifting?

The grinding is intermittent, mainly during gear changes, especially when the transmission feels like it's slipping. Did your Skyline do the same thing, and was it also the oil temperature sensor?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. It turned out to be a faulty sensor, and they mentioned my gearbox oil was low, which probably caused it. Best get it checked out by a workshop to be sure.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor, likely due to low gearbox oil as you suggested. The repair was 365€. Your input was invaluable!
