When you say check the wiring harness, are we talking about ripping the bumper off And where exactly is this bumper antenna module located Is it easy to get to, or am I going to need some specialized tools Also, did you end up doing an antenna replacement, or was it just a simple antenna repair

You'll likely need to partially remove the bumper to access the antenna module. It's usually mounted inside the bumper, near the wheel arch. As for special tools, you might need a trim removal tool to avoid damaging the bumper clips. In my case, the dealer confirmed it was the antenna module itself, not just a cable. I would recommend a diagnostic check at a workshop. They will check the cables and connections and then replace the antenna.

Took your advice and went to a local shop. Turns out, it was indeed a dodgy cable connection to the bumper antenna, just like you suspected. They cleaned it up and secured the connection. Cost me 95€, which is way better than a whole new antenna Everything's working perfectly again I appreciate the help

Sounds like a faulty bumper antenna module. I had similar issues with my SLC. Keyless entry stopped working, and the car radio reception was terrible. Check the wiring harness and connections to the bumper antenna. Could be corrosion or a loose connection. Sometimes a bad ground can cause havoc with the radio signal.
