SLC Diesel Battery Draining Electrical Issues

My 2018 Mercedes SLC diesel is giving me fits Only 13095 km on the clock and the battery keeps draining I'm getting all sorts of error messages popping up in the speedometer plus the lights are flickering like a disco ball And yeah the engine is struggling to turn over when I try to start it Scanned the OBD and it's throwing codes related to low voltage and battery issues I'm suspecting it might be the battery sensor itself Anyone else run into this gremlin

Sounds familiar Had a similar issue with my old BMW a while back Is the battery actually charging when the engine is running Check the voltage with a multimeter Could be the alternator regulator too, but a faulty battery sensor is a prime suspect They can cause all sorts of havoc with the electrical system

I'll check the charging voltage What exactly did you do to fix the BMW Was it definitely the battery sensor I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it

Yeah, after chasing my tail for a while, it turned out to be the battery sensor causing the discharged battery I'd get it properly diagnosed before replacing anything A decent workshop should be able to pinpoint the exact cause of the parasitic drain on your vehicle battery

Thanks for the insight Took it to a shop and you were spot on It was the battery sensor causing the issue New sensor fitted and the electrical system is behaving itself again Total cost was 315€ Appreciate the help
