SM3 Anti Theft Alarm Error
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault SM3 experienced a malfunction in its anti-theft alarm system, with an error stored and the alarm inactive. The issue was suspected to be related to the optical locking settings, potentially activated by alarm coding. The problem was resolved by recoding the optical locking, which restored the alarm's functionality.

Good call about the battery! I'll check it. When you say 'similar', did yours have other symptoms, or was it just a dead alarm like mine? Did the battery fix it?

Just a dead alarm, no flashing lights. I tried a new battery, but it didn't solve it. I had to take it to a workshop. Best to have it checked.

The optical locking setting was the problem. A quick recode and 45€ later, it's sorted. Thanks!

I had something similar with my SM3. I'm not sure about the error memory, but the alarm stopped working. Did you check the car battery? A weak battery can cause weird alarm issues.
