SM3 Blower Motor AUC Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The blower motor in a 2009 Renault SM3 stopped working, and an OBD scan revealed an AUC sensor fault. Despite checking the fuses, the issue persisted, leading to suspicion of a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to inspect the wiring harness for the AUC sensor, which is located behind the glove box. Ultimately, a professional diagnosis confirmed a faulty AUC sensor cable, and after repair, the blower motor functioned correctly again.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the wiring harness located? And did your blower motor also stop working completely, or was it just acting erratically?

Yeah, the blower was dead as a doornail. The harness is a PITA to get to, it's near the sensor behind the glove box. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop before you start ripping apart your dashboard. They'll diagnose it properly.

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like it's worth getting checked by a professional. I went to the workshop and they confirmed it was the AUC sensor cable. 95€ later and the blower is working again! Thanks!

Dude, I had a similar problem with my SM3! The climate control was acting up. Have you checked the wiring harness for the AUC sensor? Seems weird, but could be a short.
