SM3 Camshaft Sensor Issue

My 2012 Renault SM3 with a gasoline engine is acting up at 210338 km. It's hard to start, stalls at idle, and the check engine light is on. Diagnostics point to a bad camshaft sensor, maybe the encoder wheel. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my SM3. The check engine light was on, and the car stalled a few times. Did you try testing the sensor?

I didn't test the sensor myself. The symptoms were similar enough that I took it straight to a workshop. Turned out the camshaft sensor was faulty and needed replacement.
