SM3 Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
The sun blind on a 2016 Renault SM3 with a gasoline engine is stuck and won't retract or extend, accompanied by an error code. Diagnostics suggest the motor may have failed. A similar issue was experienced by another owner, who recommended taking the car to a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. No, there weren't any strange noises before it failed. It just stopped. Were your symptoms the same?

Yep, sounds exactly like what happened to mine. No warning, just stopped working one day. I fiddled with it for a bit, but honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. Could be the motor, like you suspect. They'll be able to diagnose it properly and give you a proper fix.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice. I'm taking it to a workshop for a diagnosis and repair. The estimated cost is around 330€.

Interesting. I have an SM3 myself, and I had something similar happen a while back. Was it making any weird noises before it completely gave up? Like a clicking or grinding sound when you tried to use it?
