Thanks for the advice. No unusual noises are apparent prior to the shutdown. Could a faulty pressure switch really cause a complete system failure?

Yes. In my Opel's case, the faulty switch was sending incorrect signals, disabling the compressor entirely. It's worth checking before more extensive repairs. I'd suggest going to a workshop to diagnose undervoltage.

Understood. Thanks for sharing your experience. I had the car inspected, and the repair cost 240€. It turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor.

I had similar issues with my 2015 Opel Insignia. The A/C compressor kept cutting out. Check the pressure switch and relay switch; it might be a simple fix. Is the compressor making any noises before shutting off?
