SM5 blower not working
Summary of the thread
The fresh air blower in a 2009 Renault SM5 is not working, with an error stored related to the blower motor. The suspected cause is a defective blower motor. A similar issue in another Renault model was resolved by checking the electrical wiring for loose connections or damaged wires, and ultimately replacing the blower motor. The suggested solution is to inspect the wiring and consider replacing the blower motor if necessary.

I'll check the wiring. By 'completely dead,' do you mean even when the air conditioning is on full blast? Did you ever measure the voltage reaching the blower?

Yes, completely dead as in no airflow whatsoever, regardless of the AC settings. I didn't measure the voltage myself, I just took it to the workshop. They confirmed it was the blower motor and replaced it.

Okay, thanks. Looks like I'll be heading to the shop too. I've been quoted 365€ for the replacement, so that's what I'll do. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue on my Renault Megane. Check the electrical wiring leading to the blower motor. Sometimes a loose connection or damaged wire can cause this. Is there any airflow at all, or is it completely dead?
