SM5 System Readiness Error

I'm experiencing a strange issue with my 2003 Renault SM5 (gasoline engine). The car has 142405 km on the clock. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer related to system readiness. When I read the error memory, it shows an incomplete system readiness check. This happened after I used an OBD2 scanner for diagnostics. Any ideas?

Hey! I had a similar problem with my SM5 after using an OBD2 scanner as well. Do you remember which modules you were checking? Maybe it's related to the exhaust system, as that's often the culprit for readiness check issues.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was mainly checking engine codes and emissions data related to onboard diagnostics. Could it really be just about the exhaust system not being fully checked after clearing codes, even if there are no current issues?

Yeah, that's what happened to me. Sometimes the car needs to complete a full 'drive cycle' to reset the readiness monitors after diagnostic checks. It's annoying. Honestly, if it's bothering you, the easiest thing to do would be to go to a workshop and ask them to reset the readiness flags. Probably not a big deal.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Turns out, after a bit of driving, the error disappeared by itself and the vehicle inspection didn't find any errors. So thankfully repair cost was at 0€.
