SM5 Transport Mode Issue

I've got a 2015 Renault SM5 with a gasoline engine and a really weird problem. The car keeps saying it's in "transport mode," which I understand is a setting used when the vehicle is new to preserve battery life, but it's been active for a week now! This is causing all sorts of electrical malfunctions, and my navigation system is completely dead. Anyone seen this before? Engine start is normal and the car generally drives fine. I've tried checking the main fuses and disconnecting the battery for a while, but nothing seems to help. Maybe some setting in the car configuration?

That’s odd. I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Insignia. "Transport mode" usually locks down certain features during shipping to avoid draining the battery. The symptoms you describe sound very familiar. Were there any other electrical quirks you observed?

Thanks for the reply! Yes, that's it exactly. Just like mine. Besides the navigation being kaput, the central console display flickers sometimes. Did your Insignia behave in the same way? How was it resolved and how long did the repair take? A software installation, perhaps?

Affirmative, the symptoms align. The flickering and inoperative navigation suggest this mode is indeed engaged. The only suitable approach involves a visit to an authorized workshop. They possess the diagnostic tools to properly disengage the transport protocol and run a car configuration.

Appreciate the advice. I will visit a workshop on Monday. At least I now know more or less what the problem is, and that it should be a quick and easy 0€ fix. I'll try to get hold of a report of what exactly the problem was.
