On my last visit to the garage it was also a connectivity issue, but with the Bluetooth system, no GPS reception and my hands free function stopped working too. Like you, they updated the software first, but the problem persisted. So they read out the multimedia system, found errors and then replaced the infotainment module. Yes, that was really annoying, but luckily everything went well. The visit to the mechanic definitely helped. Since then, the functional restrictions in connectivity have been resolved. It was probably due to a software version of the vehicle that was faulty. It cost €75 to fix it. Since then everything has been running smoothly and I've had no further problems.
