SMAX Engine Running Rich

Hi, I have a 2018 Ford SMAX gasoline with about 201480 km on it. Recently, the engine started running too rich. I noticed reduced power, the check engine light is on, and it runs rough, especially when accelerating. Fuel consumption is also up. I've checked the air filter, but no luck. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my SMAX. Check engine light, rough running... Sounded like it was struggling to breathe. Did you check the oxygen sensor or spark plugs?

Yep, pretty much identical. Jerking when accelerating too. Turned out to be a defective injector. I’d suggest getting it checked by a workshop, that's what I did.

Thanks for the tip! It was indeed the injection valve. Cost me 515€ to replace. Appreciate the help!
