SMAX Hybrid Terminal 15 Ignition Error

My 2021 Ford S-MAX Hybrid displays an error and refuses to start. Diagnostics say 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted'. I suspect a circuit break. Anyone seen this? Could a defective cable or plug be the issue? How can I diagnose it safely?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my S-MAX. Check the wiring harness and battery terminal. A loose connection can cause problems. Have you checked those already?

Thanks. I visually inspected the battery terminals and wiring harness, but found nothing obvious. Can you give more detail on where the break was in your case?

To be honest, I didn't figure it out myself. After checking the obvious stuff I took it to a workshop. Best to get it sorted professionally to avoid further issues. It was indeed a defective plug connection in the end.

Understood. Following your advice, I took it to a certified workshop, and they confirmed a defective plug connection. The repair cost 95€. Your input was greatly appreciated.
