SMAX Tire Pressure Warning and Steering Issues

My 2022 Ford SMAX Hybrid has a low tire pressure warning that won't go away even after inflating the tires. The ABS lamp is on, the steering wheel vibrates, and the steering feels heavy. I've checked for punctures. Could a bad tire valve cause this?

I had a similar issue with my SMAX. The low tire pressure light was driving me crazy! I kept topping up the tires thinking it was just the cold weather, but it kept coming back. The vibrating steering wheel is what really got my attention. Did you check all the tires?

I checked all four tires with a digital gauge. No obvious deflation or damage, but the warning light and other symptoms persist. I'm wondering if a tiny air leak from a faulty valve stem or tire bead could be the problem.

That sounds exactly like what happened to me. I spent ages checking pressures and looking for punctures. In the end, it turned out to be a faulty valve on one of the tires. It was leaking so slowly that I couldn't hear it, but it was enough to trigger the warning light and affect the steering. I would advise taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and they found a compromised valve in one of the tires causing a slow leak and triggering the warnings. They replaced the valve and re-inflated the tire for 280€. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks again!
