SMAX Windshield Washer Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Ford SMAX owner experienced issues with the windshield washer heater, receiving error messages and frozen spray nozzles in cold weather. The suspected cause was a bad connection, possibly a loose cable or plug. After checking the fuse box without clear identification, the owner took the car to a workshop, where a bad connection was confirmed and repaired.

Thanks for the tip! I did check the fuse box, but honestly, I wasn't 100% sure which fuse was for the windshield heater. Is there a specific way to identify it, or is it usually marked clearly?

On my Corsa, it was difficult to tell without the manual. I suggest consulting your car’s manual. If the fuse is fine, it really sounds like a workshop job. They will quickly find the fault.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I ended up taking it to the shop, and you were right—it was a bad connection. Cost me 95€ to fix. At least it's sorted now!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa, though not exactly the same. It turned out to be a problem with the fuse box. Have you checked the fuse for the windshield washer heater specifically?
