Solving the Issue of Freezing Spray Nozzles in 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid

Spray nozzles frozen

Hey folks, I'm facing a weird issue with my 2022 Renault Arkana hybrid. The spray nozzles seem to be freezing up, which has me suspecting a problem with the heater in the nozzles. Anyone else run into the same problem? Could you share how you managed to get it sorted at your workshop? All your experiences and advices will be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hey there. I had a similar issue with my 2020 Renault Megane hatchback a while back. I'm by no means a car guru, but I do have some experience with cars and always willing to tinker around them. In my case, I took it to my regular workshop guys, explained the situation, and they found out that the cable connection was defective. They replaced those, and voila, the issue was sorted. Cost me about 155 euro, though. But let's narrow it down a bit to help you out properly. Could you tell me if you notice any rusting or irregularities around the cable or nozzle? It might help to pinpoint your issue more accurately. Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the helpful response! I did a quick check and there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable rusting around the cable or nozzle. I'm guessing it could be a similar issue like yours—maybe a defective cable connection? Guess I'll take it to my local garage soon. By the way, my Arkana has served me around 122773 km and has been running smoothly so far, this issue just caught me off guard. Fingers crossed that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg! Cheers!

Hey again! Good to hear you did some checking on your own, it’s always good to have an initial idea to save some bucks for your consultation with the mechanic. You're probably right - if there isn't any noticeable rusting, it could well be a similar issue to what I faced with the cables. 122773 km is a good run, indeed. Unexpected issues like this are surely a bummer. Just a heads-up, when I had mine checked, they did some tests to ensure that the heater itself was functioning correctly before moving on to the cables. So, don't be surprised if they suggest that - better safe than sorry, ay! Fingers crossed that your local garage can get it sorted without it being too heavy on the pocket. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Hey, appreciate the tips! I'll for sure keep that in mind and won't panic if they mention testing the heater first. You've been super helpful, and I'll make it a point to update you on what goes down at the garage. Fingers and toes crossed it doesn't leave a dent in my wallet. Thanks again for the words of wisdom, cheers!
