Hmm, dodgy connection... where exactly should I be looking? I'm not super mechanically inclined, so I don't want to mess anything up worse.

Okay, so for me, it was at the component. Honestly, I couldn't figure it out myself. Bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They found a defective cable connection. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Saved me a headache, I reckon.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I have a Sonata too. I had a similar issue where the car was running rough and the check engine light was popping up. Turned out to be a dodgy connection somewhere messing with the fuel mixture. Have you checked all the cables and plugs related to the fuel system?
