Sonata Hybrid Check Engine Light Air Valve Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid was experiencing a persistent check engine light, rough idling, and unusual manifold pressure readings. The suspected cause was an air valve issue, potentially due to a faulty hose connection. After further investigation and advice, it was confirmed that a cracked hose on the air valve was the culprit. Replacing the hose resolved the issue, eliminating the check engine light and restoring normal engine function.

Throttle body's clean, already checked that. It really feels like a vacuum leak somewhere. But could a defective hose really cause all this mess? The engine light is really killing me...

Yeah, a dodgy hose can definitely cause those symptoms. Vacuum leaks mess with the air/fuel mixture and throw off the engine's sensors, which triggers the light. I'd get it checked out by a workshop if you can't pinpoint the leak yourself. It can be hard to find sometimes.

You nailed it! Took it to the shop, and it was indeed a cracked hose on the air valve. New hose, and the check engine light is gone. Cost me 175€ for the repair, but totally worth it. Thanks a bunch for the tip!

Hmm, sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old 2014 Opel Insignia – also a hybrid. Check engine light was on constantly, and the idle was all over the place. Did you check the throttle body? It might be gunked up, causing weird airflow issues.
