Thanks for the info! You mentioned rough idling, I haven't noticed that specifically. When you say 'wiring harness,' are you referring to the plug that connects directly to the camshaft sensor, or something else?

Yes, I am referring to the plug directly connected to the camshaft position sensor and the wires a few inches back from the connector. In my case, the cable was visibly damaged. Given the symptoms and error code, and since you suspect the connection anyway, I would consider taking it to a trusted workshop. It could be timing issues, and those are hard to diagnose without proper equipment. Better safe than sorry, right?

Appreciate the cautious advice. Turns out it was just a corroded connector. Cleaned it up and all is well. Repair bill was 95€.

That sounds familiar! I had a similar experience with my old Opel Insignia. Same error code, rough idling too. Have you checked the wiring harness for any obvious damage or corrosion near the sensor? Automotive sensors can be really sensitive; sometimes, a simple visual inspection can reveal the culprit.
