SpaceTourer charge air temperature sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Citroen SpaceTourer diesel is experiencing a check engine light, reduced engine power, and whistling and hissing noises during acceleration, with an error code indicating a charge air temperature sensor fault. The suspected causes include a bad cable or plug connection, or potential damage to the air intake hoses. The suggested solution is to inspect these components for damage or faulty connections, and if necessary, seek professional assistance at a workshop.

Thanks, that analogy is spot on. What symptoms did you have, and was the error code the same? Also, where are the air intake hoses?

Yes, the error code was the same, pointing to the charge air temperature sensor. The hissing sound was the biggest clue for me. Honestly, I'm not mechanically inclined, so I just took it to the workshop. They found the faulty connection fast.

Thanks for confirming the issue was similar. Given your experience and my limited tools, I'll take it to a workshop. I think the cable or plug is bad. The repair cost was 95€. Thanks again.

Good evening. I have a 2019 SpaceTourer 4 weeks at the mechanic... and nothing has been resolved. Airflow error code. Initially it gave a PAF error, replaced, then replaced MAF, mass airflow sensor, and after 5 km the engine light reactivates. It no longer goes over 110 km per hour. Cleaned MAF. I don't know what to do anymore. The mechanic can't figure it out. Can you give me any advice? Thank you

Good evening. Since the MAF sensor has been replaced and cleaned, and the issue persists, it might be worth checking for any vacuum leaks or issues with the turbocharger system, as these can affect airflow readings. Inspect all hoses and connections for any signs of wear or damage. If you haven't already, consider checking the air filter to ensure it's clean and not restricting airflow. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Air filter just changed. I have an appointment at Citroen on Thursday and hopefully we'll find a solution. Thanks for now! I'll let you know.

However, the error I get is Col. P02ED and P00BC

The error codes P02ED and P00BC typically relate to issues with the air intake system, such as airflow restrictions or sensor problems. Since you've already changed the air filter and checked the MAF sensor, it might be helpful to inspect the intake manifold and throttle body for any blockages or carbon build-up. These can sometimes cause airflow issues and trigger error codes. Please keep us updated after your appointment at Citroen, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

It's important to ensure that the intake manifold and throttle body are free of blockages or carbon build-up, as these can affect airflow and trigger error codes. Please keep us updated after your appointment at Citroen, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

That sounds frustrating. I have a SpaceTourer and had something similar. It's like the engine is trying to breathe through a straw, right? Did you check for damage to the air intake hoses? Sometimes a small crack can cause pressure loss and mess up the sensor readings.
