SpaceTourer electronic parking brake failure

Hey, I've got a 2022 Citroen SpaceTourer, electric engine, with a bit over 238k km on the clock. Lately, the electronic parking brake has gone completely haywire. It's refusing to engage or disengage, the error memory is storing a fault, and the warning light is constantly glaring at me from the speedometer. From what I've gathered, it seems like the electric motor in the brake caliper might be the culprit. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds familiar. I've got a Citroen SpaceTourer myself, though not the electric version. I had similar symptoms a while back. Have you checked the brake switch or considered it might be a system glitch? Could also be a faulty brake sensor. It's worth investigating those before assuming the worst.

Interesting. When you had the issue, was it completely unresponsive, or was it intermittent? And did it throw any specific error codes? I'm trying to narrow down if our problems are the same before I start throwing parts at it.

Yeah, it was completely unresponsive in the end, just like you described. I didn't manage to pull the error codes myself, but I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the electric motor in the caliper. Cost me around 500€, I think, to get it sorted, parts and labour. Best to get it checked professionally.

Cheers for the info! Sounds like I'm heading down the same road. Booked it in at the workshop for next week. Looks like it's going to set me back around 505€, just like yours. At least I know what to expect now. Appreciate the help!
