SpaceTourer engine light power loss

I've got a 2018 Citroen SpaceTourer diesel with 153,577 km on the clock experiencing some weird issues. The engine light came on, and I've noticed a distinct loss of power, the engine runs rough, and it jerks noticeably when I accelerate. Also, there's a loud hissing sound when I put my foot down, and my fuel consumption seems to have increased. I've checked for any obvious loose hoses, but nothing jumps out. I'm thinking it might be related to the intake manifold flap control, but I'm not really sure where to start. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen with my SpaceTourer. Reduced power and rough running sound familiar. Did the engine light come on immediately, or did it take a while? Also, did you notice any change in how the car sounds at idle?

The engine light came on pretty quickly after the problems started, maybe within a day or so. As for the idle, it does seem a little rougher than usual, almost like it's struggling slightly. Was your issue definitely the manifold flap? And if so, how was it diagnosed?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. Mine was diagnosed at a workshop. They said the switch intake manifold control was defective. It's probably best to get it checked out properly; messing with the intake system without knowing what you're doing can cause more problems than it solves.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local workshop and they confirmed it was the intake manifold flap control. Repair cost me 465€, but at least it's sorted now.
