SpaceTourer Fault Memory Lock

The error appeared without any recent modifications. The only unusual event was a period of infrequent use, during which the vehicle remained parked for an extended duration. Could prolonged inactivity contribute to undervoltage and trigger the ECU fault?

Ah, that makes sense! I bet the long period of inactivity is the culprit. From what I understand, when the car sits unused, the battery can drain down, causing all sorts of weird electrical gremlins. It's likely the undervoltage messed with the ECU. I’d take it to a workshop, they will run ECU diagnostics and fix control unit issues. I am pretty sure it needs professional auto repair.

Based on your experience, I will schedule an appointment with a qualified workshop for ECU diagnostics and repair. They've identified the issue as undervoltage leading to the fault memory lock. The repair cost is estimated at 240€ including clearing the error memory and a system check.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got a SpaceTourer too, and I had something similar happen a while back. 'Fault memory lock active' rings a bell. Did the error pop up suddenly, or was there anything else going on at the same time, like after installing new lights or a new radio? Just trying to get a clearer picture!
