SpaceTourer Intermittent Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Citroen SpaceTourer diesel is experiencing intermittent starting issues, stalling at idle, rough engine performance, and increased fuel consumption, with a check engine light indicating a fuel pump error. The suspected causes include a bad fuel pump cable or plug, or a loose connection to the fuel pump relay. The suggested solution is to inspect and repair any defective connections, particularly near the fuel pump relay, which resolved the issue for another owner at a cost of approximately 95€.

Thanks! Where is the fuel pump relay and connector? Also, what was the error code you saw? This would help me narrow it down.

The relay was near the battery under the hood, but check your owner's manual for the exact location for your year. I don't recall the error code, but it was fuel supply related. If you are not 100% sure, get a workshop to check it. Fuel systems can be risky. It cost around 95€ to fix mine.

Thanks for the help! I had a technician inspect it and it was a defective connection, like you said. The repair was 95€, just as you estimated. Thanks again!

Wow, that sounds frustrating! I have a SpaceTourer as well. I had similar symptoms and it was a loose connection to the fuel pump relay. Check if the error code specifically points to the pump, or if it could be electrical. Have you checked the voltage at the pump connector when starting? That might help.
