SpaceTourer Jerking Acceleration and Error Code

My 2019 Citroen SpaceTourer diesel is jerking during acceleration. The check engine light is on, there's an error code, diminished engine power, rough idling, and a strong odor from the exhaust. I've visually inspected it, but could this be a vacuum leak related to the manifold sensor or pressure, or a gasket leak?

Sounds like a classic intake manifold issue. Like a punctured lung – the engine can't breathe right. Is it scorched? Have you checked the manifold pressure readings? If they're way off, that's a big clue.

I'm not sure how to check the manifold pressure readings. What does 'scorched' mean? What should I look for?

Scorched means burned. A leaking intake manifold can happen because of that. For checking the pressure, you'll need diagnostic tools or a workshop visit. All signs point to the intake manifold itself being defective. Better get it checked out to avoid further damage.

I took your advice and brought the car to the workshop. The intake manifold was indeed defective, likely due to scorching, as you suggested. The total repair cost was 1180€. Your insights helped diagnose the problem quickly. I appreciate your expertise!
