Thanks! How did you test the heater element? Did you use a multimeter for resistance, or is there a better way? I don't want to just replace parts.

I used a multimeter to check the resistance across the heater element terminals. If the resistance is outside the specified range for your sensor, the heater is probably dead. Given the symptoms, it might be worth getting a proper diagnosis before replacing anything.

Thanks! I used a multimeter and confirmed the heater element was dead. I cleaned the connections and replaced the O2 sensor for 95€. Problem solved! The check engine light is gone, and fuel consumption is back to normal. I appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms with my SpaceTourer. Have you tried testing the sensor's heater element directly? That might show if the sensor is faulty or if it's a wiring issue.
