Yeah, mostly short trips around town. So, a DPF issue, huh? Is there anything I can check myself, or am I better off taking it to a garage? What exactly was wrong with yours?

Well, short trips are DPF killers! There isn't much you can do yourself without the right tools. It could be a faulty sensor messing with the readings. Mine turned out to be the exhaust back pressure sensor – was giving false readings, so the car wasn't doing DPF regeneration properly. Honestly, save yourself the headache and get it checked by a pro. They'll hook it up to diagnostics and pinpoint the problem quickly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed the exhaust back pressure sensor. Cost me 245€ to replace, but the van's running like new again. Really appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my SpaceTourer. I reckon it could be a DPF issue. Are you doing a lot of short journeys? That can clog them up pretty quickly. Does it feel like the car is holding back, like it's got a sock in its mouth?
