Spark crankshaft camshaft error
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Spark exhibited issues such as a check engine light, reduced engine power, poor response, and increased fuel consumption. A diagnostic revealed a 'crankshaft to camshaft reference value' error, leading to the suspicion of a defective crankshaft sensor. While a timing chain issue was suggested as a possible cause, the problem was ultimately confirmed to be the crankshaft sensor, which was replaced to resolve the issue.

Timing chain issues on such a low mileage (80437 km)? I would have thought that they would last longer. Was your mileage similar when you had the problem?

Yeah, it was surprisingly early. The reference value was all over the place. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. Could save you money in the long run.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop and it was indeed the crankshaft sensor. Repair cost me 340€. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar with my Spark. Same symptoms. Have you checked the timing chain? It might be worth a look before you jump to replacing the crank sensor.
