Spark power windows after battery change
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2017 Chevrolet Spark, the power windows stopped functioning, and a scan indicated an error related to window regulator initialization. Despite checking fuses and attempting basic resets, the issue persisted. The problem was identified as an initialization issue, requiring re-initialization of the window regulators using diagnostic equipment at a workshop. This resolved the issue, restoring the functionality of the power windows.

Thanks. I haven't touched the door panel or any wiring. The issue started right after the battery replacement. Could the system need a specific reset or programming after power loss? Is there a procedure to re-initialize the window regulators on the Spark after a battery change?

Since the problem started after the battery replacement and you've checked the obvious things, it sounds like an initialization issue. I don't know the exact procedure and wouldn't advise experimenting without the proper tools. Take it to a trusted mechanic experienced with Chevrolet systems. They should be able to diagnose the problem and re-initialize the window regulators using diagnostic equipment.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on: the window regulators needed to be re-initialized using their diagnostic tool. Cost me 290€, but at least the windows are working again. Appreciate your help!

I also own a Spark, but I haven't had that exact issue after a battery change. I did have a similar problem after door panel work. Did you disconnect the window switch or regulator? It might not be properly reconnected or initialized. Check the wiring harness for damage or loose connections.
