Spider bumper antenna issue
Summary of the thread
A 1999 Renault Spider owner is experiencing issues with the bumper antenna, leading to a stored error, non-functional keyless entry, and the inability to start the engine without the key in the ignition. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug. A suggestion is made to check the antenna connections, as loose connections could be the problem. Ultimately, taking the car to a workshop for professional inspection is recommended to save time and ensure proper diagnosis and repair.

Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Are they easy to access, or do I need to take the bumper apart?

Yeah, same symptoms. I ended up just taking it to a workshop. Saved me a bunch of time messing around. Probably the best bet in your case too.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll book it in for a checkup. At least I know what to expect now.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Spider. Check the antenna connections first. It's like when your TV signal goes bad because the cable's loose.
