Spider fault memory lock

Indeed, the car did sit idle for a few weeks. Could that alone trigger this memory lock?

Absolutely! Think of it like a leaky faucet slowly draining a bucket. The control unit's active memory is sensitive. A prolonged period of undervoltage can corrupt stored fault codes and trigger the lock. In my case, it required a workshop visit to clear the memory and ensure no underlying issues. It may be best to let a professional handle it.

Thank you for the confirmation. I will take it to a workshop for diagnosis. The repair cost amounted to 240€.

Ah, the Spider! I know her well. I had a similar issue with my Spider. It sounds like a persistent gremlin in the car's electronics. Did you recently experience any issues with the battery or perhaps have the car sitting idle for an extended period?
