Sprinter check engine light and stalling issue

I had a similar problem with my Mercedes a while back. Check engine light, rough engine idle, and sometimes it would just die at stop lights. Does it feel like it wants to stall when you're idling?

Yeah, that's exactly what it feels like! Did you ever figure out what was causing it? My Sprinter is a 2012 gasoline engine with 143590 km. The check engine light is on and it stalls at idle. The error memory has a fault stored. I'm thinking it could be related to the idle control.

Sounds like the exact same thing. Turned out to be the idle control valve. The whole air intake was gunked up pretty bad. I'd get it checked at a workshop. They cleaned the throttle body and replaced the valve. Runs like new now.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. They said the air intake was heavily contaminated and the idle air control valve was bad. Cost me 425€, but it's fixed now. Really appreciate the help!
