The fuel filter was inspected not long ago and seemed fine. What injector cleaning procedures or products do you recommend? What diagnostic steps can I take to confirm engine misfire codes? I have basic OBDII tools.

Right, if the fuel filter is ok, I would not suspect that. I never did injector cleaning myself; I am not sure if that helps at all. Given what you've described, it might be best to get it checked out by a workshop. They can probably diagnose the injector issue more accurately. Good luck!

Based on the information, I consulted a mechanic. The diagnosis confirmed a defective injector needing replacement. The total repair cost was 515€. The vehicle now operates as expected, with improved cold start and smoother engine running. Thank you again for your assistance.

Sounds like a plausible cause. I had similar rough idle problems with my Sprinter. Has the fuel filter been checked? Also, could be the injectors themselves. I'd be hesitant to throw parts at it though. Have you considered injector cleaning? Did you notice any engine misfire codes?
