Sprinter cruise control malfunction

My 2023 electric Mercedes Sprinter with 273585 km has a non-functional cruise control The dash shows no warnings, but the OBD reader flags a cruise control error Could this be a connection, cable, or plug issue? Should I check the fuse box, speed sensor, brake light switch, or clock spring?

Good point about the brake light I'll check it tomorrow Where is the speed sensor located and is it easily accessible? Are the cruise control stalk connections inside the steering wheel column? I'm hesitant to work there due to the airbags

Yes, the brake light switch is a simple fix If it's not that, a workshop should inspect it They can check the speed sensor and cable or plug connection My repair cost 95€

Thanks for the advice! It was a defective cable or plug connection as I suspected The shop fixed it for 95€ Cruise control is working again
